A Tribute to Julia
The day my phone rang, I had no idea how much that call would stay with me. On the other end was a sweet, thoughtful voice that introduced herself simply as Julia. She didn’t waste time with small talk—her words went straight to the heart. She spoke with sincerity, warmth, and a deep belief in the good we were trying to do.

“I believe in what you’re doing,” she said. “Reimagine Medical Lake genuinely cares about and loves the people.”

In that moment, I knew we had met someone special.
Julia was not just a supporter—she was a kindred spirit. She saw hope where others saw challenge. She felt love where others might only see obligation. And she gave freely, not just of her resources, but of her heart, her words, and her presence.

We were honored to have Julia attend the most recent Reimagine Medical Lake Winter Festival. It meant the world to us to see her there, sharing smiles, stories, and laughter. She had a way of lighting up a room—not by drawing attention to herself, but by making others feel seen, heard, and valued.

On June 5, 2025, Julia passed from this world, and we feel her absence deeply. Yet even in her passing, she continued to give. In her typically generous spirit, Julia asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Reimagine Medical Lake in her honor.

This request is a reflection of who Julia was: someone who thought beyond herself, who believed in building community, and who trusted that love and kindness can change the world.

We will remember her with gratitude and love. And as we continue the work she believed in, we carry her legacy forward—one act of compassion at a time.

Rest in peace, dear Julia. Your voice, your heart, and your belief in us will echo through everything we do.
